Ron Paul is the first that I've heard talk about this. The CIA calls it blowback. It's when an agenda that we have pushed backfires on us. Some examples are Osama Bin Laden (we funded him when he was fighting the Soviets), Sadam Hussein (we funded him when he was fighting Iran), and Iran (we overthrew their democraticly elected government and inserted the Shah). All those blew up in our face. Well Hamas is an example of it blowing up in the faces of the Iraelis. The Mossad helped create Hamas to counter Yasir Arafat. This shows why America needs to become an isolationist country again. Supply both sides. Make a profit. Keep our nose clean and out of other people's business. We would have both peace and a good economy. This is common knowledge to the Europeans. Not here in the US though. We have successfully been dumbed down. The fact that this doesn't make the main stream media proves that they are in collusion with the powers that be. The media is run by the same people who run the country. Bottom line. United Press International had an article in 2002 that backs up what Dr. Paul had to say.
The article was by Richard Sale and was dated June 18, 2002. It said:
"Israel and Hamas may currently be locked in deadly combat, but, according to several current and former U.S. intelligence officials, beginning in the late 1970s, Tel Aviv gave direct and indirect financial aid to Hamas over a period of years.
Israel "aided Hamas directly -- the Israelis wanted to use it as a counterbalance to the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization)," said Tony Cordesman, Middle East analyst for the Center for Strategic Studies.
Israel's support for Hamas "was a direct attempt to divide and dilute support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative," said a former senior CIA official."
The Israeli military intelligence community has too much power and continually screws up. If this wasn't true they wouldn't mind having reporters in Gaza. The Israeli military is set on not letting the world know what is really happening that they are even attacking buildings where the media are located. The building that housed the PressTV office was recently attacked according to PressTV. PressTV is an Iranian owned English language news station.
It amazes me how many people on bulletin boards and around the water cooler say things like, "It's not the Israelis' fault that civilians are being killed. They warned them. It's the Gaza government's fault. That would be like me saying it was the bosses fault that I punched you in the mouth when we were in the lunch room by the water cooler. I yelled, "Somebody better stop me! I'm gonna punch this sucka!"
Another interesting point about Operation Cast Lead, what is the point? This attack on Gaza will enflame the passions of the Muslim world against Israel and it's allie the United States. If Israel does not destroy the rockets and people launching them what did they gain? Nothing, unless they want to prolong the conflict in the Middle East. If the point of this military action is to stop the rockets that Hamas is launching at Israel one has to ask why Israel isn't using the military technology that both they and the States have to knock rockets out of the sky. Remember Scud missiles? Remember the Patriot system. We are supposed to have the technology to prevent these attacks. Why aren't we using it. This type of tech would protect both Israelis as none would die in rocket attacks and Palestinians as none would die in Israeli warplane bombings and tank attacks.
